Research Journal, Part 4: Types of Information


Practice Questions(Provide answers/sources for each of these):

1) Is a vegetarian diet healthier than a meat-based diet?

Answer: Academic  Encyclopedias or Academic Journals. Some popular magazines depending of there business influences and sponsors.

2) Target often forces musicians to alter lyrics in order to have
their CDs sold in Target stores. Is this censorship?

Answer: A good resource for this question could be found online at credible websites and social network sites. This question seems to be more of an opinionated research question.

3) How much more can a college graduate expect to earn over
someone with a high school diploma?


Answer: A statistic question could be found in Academic  Encyclopedias or Academic Journals. Both of which can be found online as well.

4) Should educators use commercial services to combat
plagiarism?

Answer: Another opinion question that could be found credible websites and social network sites.

5) Is the current lack of sunspot activity affecting global
warming?

Answer: This question seems like it would be a great on for all types of research sources.

1) What are some case examples where privacy rights in a marriage were violated?

Answer: Academic Journals and websites.

2) What's the legal ramifications of recording someones private conversations with out their consent?

Answer: Academic  Encyclopedias, Academic Journals and websites

3) What can I do if someone post a private conversation on the internet without my consent?

Answer: Academic  Encyclopedias, Academic Journals and websites

    I would include government websites for your questions since they are they enact and enforce laws. I agree that the Target question uses heightened language but you might also check the business press/newspapers for that current events take. You seem to grasp what information you'll find in various resources. Trying to discern what kind of information would best answer your question can help guide your research and start in a useful place.
